Huntsville Arbor Day Celebration
Huntsville town will celebrate Arbor Day 2025 on Friday, May 30th at 6:00 p.m. in the Huntsville Town Park. We will begin the evening by meeting at the stage/gazebo in the northwest corner of the park. Two years ago, trees were planted to honor our former Mayor, Jim McKay, and former Planning Commission Chairman and Council Member, Doug Allen. Commemorative plagues will be placed on their designated trees. In addition, a tree and plaque will be dedicated to Tim Hansen, a long-time town employee and member of the water department. He will also be remembered for his great melodrama-acting skills. Becky Wood will help us honor the oldest tree in Huntsville that, unfortunately, had to be cut down. We hope all of you will join us in celebrating our 17th year as a Tree City USA!
